Malawi's leading telecommunications company Artile on Friday opened an Express Shop in Mchinji district.
Speaking during the opening ceremony, Customer Experience Director Sibusiso Nyasulu said as a caring brand Airtel believe that customers deserve the best from the company and plans to continue to furnish subscribers with competitive solution, products and services.
"2014 was a great year as we extended our reach through the opening of a total of 16 new shops across the country. Just next week, we will also be opening another express shop like this one in Nchalo, bringing the total number of shops to be opened, including this one to 18 shops," she said.
Apart from giving our customers too class services and the stylish Morden look of the shop, Nyasulo said the shop will also be a great opportunity to experience our excellent products and services at the customer's convenience.
In his remarks Mchinji District Commissioner Richard Hara said Airtel Malawi has shown their commitment to business by offering quality telecommunications' products and services.
"Airtel has also proved to be an instrumental corporate citizen that has helped uplift lives of many people in the education and health sectors.
"Mchinji keeps growing. Each and every day there arises new opportunity for businesses to grow and succeed. Let us therefore work together, with the corporate world and various strategic stakeholders to make Mchinji a spectacular district," he said.
He said it is clear that the economic sector plays an outstanding and effective role in strengthening any country.
"No national progress is successful and sustainable without economic development. In focusing our efforts on the economy, we have always emphasized the role and participation of the private sector in rebuilding our country, our cities, our towns, our communities and our society among others.
"There is no doubt that this Airtel shop will also be a significant structure for the district, and to follow people of Mchinji and surrounding area, it is something worth celebrating as we will have access to telecommunications' products, services and assistance," he said.
