CMST Reforms for a better and health nation

Established by the government of Malawi in November 2010,  the Central Medical Stores Trust (CMST) replaced the old Central Medicals Stores (CMS) for better service to the nation.


The creation of the Trust, according to its Communications Officer Herbert Chandilanga, was amid serious operational, financial, and governance challenges which had led to equally serious and vastly publicized shortages of medicines and medical supplies, leading to, at its highest, a 95 percent stock-out by early 2013.

A group of students and professors from various universities in the United States of America on Thursday, June 21, 2018 visited AHL Groups head office in Lilongwe to appreciate the company’s operations, including the tobacco marketing system which it runs for the country.

FDH Bank donates computers and printers to Chichiri Prisonm


FDH Bank donated four computers and two printers worth K4.3million.  to Chichiri Prison to facilitate exams at the prison.


FDH Bank Head of Marketing Levie Nkunika said they decided to make the donation because it was found that some prisoners have been conducting studies but have had challenges during exams because the prison had limited equipment

Malawi in Negotiations for new typhoid vaccine

Malawi is currently in negotiations for newly licensed and World Health Organizations (WHO) prequalified typhoid conjugate vaccines (TCVs) with Typbar-TCV which has longer lasting protection, fewer doses, and suitability for children under two years of age.

Simbi Phiri builds a multimillion-modern primary school in Lilongwe rural

In a gesture of remembering his roots, Khato Civils owner, Simbi Phiri has constructed and furnished a primary school in his home village of Chembe, T/A Mazengera in Lilongwe Rural East.

According to Nyasa  Times, Simbi was born and grew up in Chembe before he left for Botswana as a young boy with his father.
The new facility which will be a junior primary school (Classes 1 to 5) will serve other villages within a radius of 15 kilometres.

Themed "A Year Without Shame," the Ministry's founder Prophetic Bishop Chimwemwe Chafumuka said Gos will bring answers deluring the overnight and Malawi will not be the same again.
The night of prayer for the nation will be held at Lilongwe Town Hall.

University of Bedfordshire Prof. louds Usi's PHD research with focus of investing on youth



University of Bedfordshire Professor of education Kate Jacques louded Michael Usi's PHD   research which was focussed on the development of Malawi by investing in the country’s youth.

Professor Jacques was speaking to a group of high profile academics, friends and politicians from Bedford in the United Kingdom who met on Sunday to celebrate the success of Usi's in achieving his PhD from the University.

Area 47 Assemblies of God Church Youths Launches ‘This Jesus’ Project

The Malawi Assemblies of God church’s youth ministry from Area 47 Glorious Temple has launched ‘This Jesus’ project that will reach out to young people with a unified message on knowing and building personal relationships with Jesus Christ.

Launching the project on Saturday evening, Youth Director for the Area 47 Glorious Temple Pacharo Kayira said his youth ministry’s 2018 ‘This Jesus’ themed project which has been inspired by the biblical text from Acts 2 verse 36 will deeply focus on exalting name of Jesus among young people through promotion of four key pillars which are; One Heart, One Message, One Name and This Jesus.
