Chibuku Products Limited (CPL), one of the country’s leading brewer of
opaque beer and Mahewu super shake on Wednesday donated over 350
cartons of Mahewu super shake to Mangochi District to help people
affected by floods in the district, according to Ayamba Kandodo.
Speaking when making the donation, the company’s Corporate Affairs
Manager, Wise Chauluka said they made the donation after seeing the
plight of flood victims in the district.

Speaking when making the donation, the company’s Corporate Affairs
Manager, Wise Chauluka said they made the donation after seeing the
plight of flood victims in the district.
“As Chibuku Products Limited, we assessed the condition of living of
people affected by floods in the flood affected districts and we found
that their condition of living was appalling. Among the districts
Mangochi was one of them. At CPL we have corporate social
responsibility that
aims at taking care of lives of people who are in dire need, displaced
and plagued. And this donation is exactly in tandem with our core
responsibility and to alleviate the suffering of those affected by the
catastrophe,” said Chauluka.
“We will continue doing the same in the flood affected districts and
hope the items will go a long way in alleviating the suffering of the
affected people,” he added.
Speaking on behalf of Mangochi District Commissioner, Bissaih
Mtayamanja who is the District’s Principal AdministratIion Officer
hailed the Company for remembering and sparing time to visit the
district, saying their support will help to rescue the suffering of
flood victims in the district.
While assuring the company’s his total commitment of monitoring the
items to reach the intended beneficiaries, Mtayamanja also appealed to
well-wishers to emulate Chibuku’s kind gesture, saying there are more
flood victims in the district who still need help.
