leadership with the Biblical reign of Manasseh King of Judah.
Quoting the Bible books of 2 Kings 22 verses 1-13 and 2 John 13, Sasu
said just like the problems Malawi is going through, Manasseh imitated on the very worst kings of Israel.
He said the people of Judah suffered because of the poor leadership of
the King.
"Malawi today has been destroyed miserably by the poor leaders we have
had and that are still ruling today.
"Everything stopped since the death of Kamuzu Banda, there is no
development and leaders are just there to enrich themselves through
looting," he said.
Sasu said just like God sent Josiah to clean the land of Judah, He also
will give Malawians a leader who is going to rebuild the country.
The sermon was delivered before Malawi Congress Party (MCP) president
Lazarus Chakwela, his runningmate Richard Msowoya, for party president
John Tembo and Louis Chimango who went to pray at the church.
The Synod Pastoral Letter was also read during the sermon.
