Done deal! Sean Kingston coming to Malawi

After a long time full of expectations, doubts and perhaps wondering
if the Beautiful girls singer will indeed perform in the country, the
gods have final smiled at the hungry citizens as the two parties have
finally sealed the deal.

Both Heartbeatz Entertainment Shaffique Maru and Musicians Assnciation
of Malawi (MAM) president Costen Mapemba disclosed to the Guardian
Newpaper that the hosts have finally payed the perfomance fee.

Born Kisean Anderson, the artist will have a Southern Africa tour
which will take him to Zimbabwe before Malawi on April 25 at the
Crossroads Hotel in Lilongwe.

"We can confirm that we have paid the artist his full dues but we
cannot disclose the amount. This is between us and the artist but you
can crosscheck with either MAM and the Ministry of Tourism," said
Maru.

He also disclosed that the equipment to be used will be arriving soon
from Zimbabwe and will be set up by exprienced engineers that manned
the Joyce Meyer tour.

On his part, Mapemba said Malawians should be assured of a great show.

"The artist got paid in full and yes, he is coming. Any American
musician cannot board a plane for the show without seeing money in his
bank account.

"Therefore, be rest assured that Kingston is coming and I saw all the
transactions," said Mapemba

Born in Miami, United States of America, the Fire burning star has had
stage stints with Beyonce and Gwen apart from working with Wyclif
Jean, RedOne and J.R Records.

Young Kay, Maskal, Theo Thomson, Team Gypsy and NIC are some local
artists who will brush shoulders with the Me Love star.

The show comes at a time when the citizenary wounds are still fresh
from some cheating promoters who, after a much publicised Sean
Kingston show, Malawians celebrated a failed entertainment feast even
though some tickets were already bought.

"Malawi is fully capable of hosting high profile artists and we have
made it our mission to prove the skeptics wrong. Behind every dark
cloud there is a silver lining," said Maru in a comforting and hope
giving message.

Maru said after successfuly holding a pre-show in Blantyre, they are
also conducting another one in Lilongwe at Chez Mtemba on Saturday
this weekend   where Maskal and NIC will perfom while DJ Ken Klips
will spin the discs.

To keep the norm on the move, Maru said his company has partenered
with South African promoters to ensure that anytine there in an
international artists perfoming in that country, Malawi should be
given the opportunity to host them and bring the quality in the
country.

Tickets to the 3000 spectators show are being sold at Kips,
Multichoice offices, Foodworth, Papaya restaurant and Chameleon.
